Wojciech Szymczak

Wojciech Szymczak is a product of Lech Poznań's academy, having joined the club's system in 2019 after starting out at AP Reissa Poznań in his home city. He worked his way through Lech's youth ranks, and at Under-19 level his scoring record stood out: 12 goals in 10 Central Youth League appearances in the 2024/2025 season, including a two-goal game against Polonia Warsaw the year before.

His breakthrough came through the reserve side, Lech Poznań II, competing in the third-tier Betclic 3. liga. In the 2025/2026 season he scored 7 goals and added 2 assists in 19 appearances there. He was named in Lech's senior squad for the first time in August 2026, having earlier taken a place on the bench for an Ekstraklasa fixture against Piast Gliwice in February 2026 without getting on the pitch. He returned to the matchday squad for a game against the same opponent in August.

Szymczak has also been capped at Under-18 level for Poland, scoring twice in five appearances for the youth side. He was named in an extended U-18 squad for European Under-19 Championship qualifying in 2026 but missed the opening round through injury.

As part of the Lech Poznań squad, he holds an Ekstraklasa title from the 2025/2026 season and a Polish Super Cup win from 2026/2027. The club rewarded his progress in August 2026 with a contract extension through to 30 June 2028. Having come entirely through Lech's academy, he has never been the subject of a transfer fee.
