Yohan Cassubie

Yohan Cassubie came through the Chamois Niortais academy after starting out at Saint-Nazaire AF, and it was at Niort that he signed his first professional contract in July 2021. Two years later, with his contract in Niort expired, he moved to Girondins de Bordeaux on a free transfer. That spell brought call-ups to the French youth set-up at U16, U17, U18 and U19 level, though it also coincided with Bordeaux's administrative and financial troubles, which led to his contract being terminated in August 2024.

Cassubie then took his career to Turkey, joining Amedspor on a free transfer, where he stayed for a season and a half before moving on again in February 2026, this time to Finland and FC Lahti, once more without a fee changing hands.

At Lahti, he quickly established himself as a regular, making 21 appearances in the Veikkausliiga during the 2026 season, scoring twice and setting up a further three goals. He added further outings in the Liigacup and the Suomen Cup, taking his total involvement across all competitions for the club to 25 matches in his first season there.

None of his moves — from Niort to Bordeaux, from Bordeaux to Amedspor, or from Amedspor to Lahti — have involved a transfer fee, a pattern that has defined his path through French, Turkish and now Finnish football.
