About the player
Yuriy Gorshkov started out at Chertanovo Moscow, making his professional debut in August 2016 and staying with the club until 2020, when he had racked up 95 appearances and three goals for the first team. Along the way he won the PFL Zone West in the 2017/18 season and also turned out for the club's second team. In July 2020 he moved on to Krylya Sovetov Samara, where the club won the FNL title in the 2020/21 season and went up to the Premier League, with Gorshkov making 123 appearances and scoring nine goals over four seasons.
That form prompted Zenit Saint Petersburg to sign him in June 2024, on a three-year deal with an option for a further year. He made 22 appearances for the club and scored once, and was part of the squad that won the Russian Premier League in the 2025/26 season as well as the Russian Super Cup in both 2024 and 2026.
Gorshkov has also worn Russia's colours at senior level, making his debut in a friendly against Kenya in October 2023. He has since won nine caps, all in friendlies, against opposition including Serbia, Belarus, Syria, Grenada, Jordan, Bolivia and Peru.
In August 2026 he returned to Krylya Sovetov Samara on a free transfer, signing a three-year contract.
