Yusuf Umidjan

Yusuf Umidjan made his senior debut in 2021 with Xinjiang Snowland Tiancheng, playing three matches in the Chinese Champions League, the country's fourth tier, and that same year turned out for the Xinjiang regional side at the National Games of China at under-18 level. The move that reshaped his career came in 2022, when he joined Wuhan Three Towns, initially with the reserve squad before working his way into the first team and making his professional debut in January 2023.

A loan spell shaped him further. In April 2023 he went to China League Two side Hainan Star, where he made 21 league appearances and scored once before he returned to Wuhan Three Towns for the 2024 campaign.

In February 2025, Umidjan moved to Shanghai Port, with the transfer announced on 18 February. He won the 2025 Chinese Super League title with his new club. Called up for the first time in January 2025, he has since earned four caps for China's senior side.

At youth level, Umidjan has represented China across the U21, U22 and U23 age groups. His most recent involvement came at the 2026 AFC U-23 Asian Cup, where he reached the final with the China U23 team, only for the run to end in a 4-0 defeat to Japan in Jeddah on 24 January 2026, leaving the side as runners-up.
