The parent club's rivalry with Panetolikos, the so-called Arcadian Derby, belongs to the first team.

Formed on 20 June 2024, when the Greek Professional Sports Committee gave unanimous approval, Asteras Tripolis II stepped straight into Super League 2 for the 2024–2025 season.

Fotios Pseftis went to AC Milan's Primavera in 2021, following Nikos Michelis, who had made the same move in 2018; Georgios Kanellopoulos went on to play for HJK Helsinki and OFI Crete. The senior club has its own high-water mark, the run between 2007 and 2015 that took it into the group stage of the UEFA Europa League and to a Greek Cup final, but none of that history is one this team can point to as its own.
