CD IN San Juan FC

Satélite Norte is a neighbourhood on the edge of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, and it was there, in 2019, that the people behind CD Integración del Norte put together a club meant to carry the district's name into Bolivian football. The team never settled in the city itself: its matches are played across the department in Warnes, at the Estadio Samuel Vaca Jiménez, a ground of some 18,000 seats that it shares with Atlético Warnes, the closest thing San Juan FC has to a rival.

The rise came fast. Winning the Liga Satélite Norte in 2024 opened the door to the Interprovincial stage and from there to the Copa Simón Bolívar. In 2025 San Juan FC went all the way to the final, having put out Universitario de Sucre 6-3 on aggregate in the semi-final, before Real Potosí beat them 5-1 over two legs.

Finishing runners-up still carried a prize: a two-legged promotion playoff against ABB, second-from-bottom in the Bolivian Primera División. San Juan FC won the first leg 3-1 in Montero. ABB won the second leg 2-0 in El Alto to level the tie at 3-3, and then won the penalty shootout 5-3. The place in the 2026 Primera División stayed with ABB, and San Juan FC, still without so much as a settled nickname, was left to try again.
