«The Hammers»
Cobham is a village where a football club could start life outside the pub as easily as inside it — here it began at a coffee tavern, with the local vicar handing over the first ball on 5 November 1886. The club has worked its way up through county football: Kingston and District League titles either side of 1930, a spell in the Surrey Senior League from 1937, and a wartime stretch spent merged with Avorians Sports Club under the name Cobham Avorians.
The post-war years were harder. Between 1953 and 1976 the club finished bottom of the Surrey Senior League eight times, and it took the restructuring into the Combined Counties League in 1979 to give it a settled home. Runners-up in 1998-99, relegated in 2009, promoted back in 2018.
Rhys Weston, once of Arsenal, Cardiff City and Wales, came out of retirement to make three appearances for Cobham in 2019.
The stadium holds 2,000.
