The club has stayed amateur since 1921, reaching 2. Liga interregional, the sixth tier, in the Nordwestschweiz group. Löhrenacker remains its ground.
Deyan Rakitic, who ended his own playing career in 2017, took over as coach on 1 July 2024.
In June 2026, Aesch beat SC Binningen 6:1 in the final of the Basler Cup. The club had reached that final once before, in 2018, and lost it 2:4 to FC Concordia Basel. Fifty years had passed since Aesch last won the trophy.
