The nearest thing Hemel Hempstead Town have to a peak came in 2013–14, when Dean Brennan's side won the Southern League Premier Division. Ben Mackey scored 43 goals that season, a club record, and the Tudors drew the highest average attendance in the division. The title carried them into the FA Cup first round proper the following season, a tie they lost 3–1 away at Bury.
Most of the honours on the list predate that, and predate the ground itself. The Herts Senior County League, the West Herts League, the Spartan League Division One in 1933–34 — these were won under earlier names, before the club settled on Hemel Hempstead Town in 1955.
They play in red, at what is now called the Focus Community Arena after a scaffolding firm bought the naming rights ahead of the 2023–24 season; older supporters still know it as Vauxhall Road, where the club moved in 1972 after a merger. The Boreham Wood fixture is the one that matters most locally, played as the Hertfordshire derby, with Berkhamsted and St Albans City as the older, quieter rivalries.
The club's history goes back to 1885, when it started out as Apsley End.
