The two met in the Niedersachsenpokal final of 2025/26; Hannover 96 U19 won 4–1.
They did not travel far in it. On 2 August 2026 , at home, Bayer Leverkusen U19 beat them 4–0 in the first round.
Both halves reach back further — to FV Britannia in 1904 and FC Hildesheim in 1906, which is where the 06 in the name comes from.
Red, white and yellow, and the nickname Die Domstadtelf — the Cathedral Eleven.
What the club has not produced is a graduate who went on to hold down a place in the Bundesliga or the 2. Bundesliga. The seniors have won the Verbandsliga Niedersachsen-West, in 2001–02, and finished second in the Niedersachsenliga in 2014–15, which took them up to the Regionalliga Nord.
