Milan lives on two football calendars, the senior one and the one that runs beneath it, and at Inter that second calendar has produced more silverware than any other Primavera in the country. The academy dresses in the same black and blue, trains at the Suning Youth Development Center rather than San Siro, and has occasionally taken its matches out to Sesto San Giovanni's Stadio Breda, a ground that seats a few thousand rather than tens of thousands.

Fourteen Campionato Primavera titles sit in the club's youth record, the most recent taken in 2025, the earliest going back to 1964. The Viareggio Cup, the tournament that has made and broken reputations every spring since the postwar years, has gone to Inter eight times, most recently in 2018.

What the trophies don't show is who came through on the way to somewhere else. Giuseppe Bergomi is the clearest case: he moved from the youth ranks into a first-team career that ran two decades and included a World Cup lifted while he was still only 19. Federico Dimarco followed a longer road, out on loan repeatedly before finally settling into the first team he had left as a boy, and his name now carries more weight at San Siro than it ever did in the Primavera itself.

The derby against AC Milan means as much to these age groups as it does to the seniors, argued out on the same city's pitches under the same name, Derby della Madonnina. A Derby d'Italia against Juventus follows behind it in the pecking order.

For all the domestic silverware, a European youth crown has stayed out of reach, the one line the Primavera's record book still leaves blank.
