Two Kielce works teams, Iskra and SHL, were folded into one in the summer of 1973. The youth setup borrows the seniors' colours, yellow and red, and the nicknames that came with them: Scyzory, the buck-knives.

The under-19s play in the Centralna Liga Juniorów, the top tier of Polish youth football since 2013. They took the junior championship in 2008, then again in 2019.

Winning it sent them into the UEFA Youth League for 2019/20, where the run ended at the first hurdle against Real Zaragoza. The same year the club's under-17s won the junior youth championship.

Home for the seniors is the Exbud Arena, once the Kolporter Arena. Among the graduates who came through, Adam Hańćko is the name the academy points to.

The arena the champions of 2019 grew up beneath holds 15,700.
