Kosmonosy

SK Kosmonosy sit in Division C of the 4. Liga, the fourth tier of Czech football.

The name has moved more than the team has. What began in 1910 as a football section called Blue Star became SK in 1919, when a pitch was cut into a basalt quarry. Then came Sokol, then AZNP "B", tied to the Mladá Boleslav car factory, then Autorenova, Dynamo, ČSAD, Masokombinát — a different sponsor or regime stamping a different name on the same shirt colours, red and white, until the club took back SK Kosmonosy in the 1990s.

Two men account for most of what the club has won. Otto Vít took them up a division in 1972, and a decade later Ladislav Kocmich delivered the district championship of 1982–83.

Tomáš Král came through the Kosmonosy youth ranks between 2012 and 2016 before Mladá Boleslav took him on, and he has since gone out on loan to Ružomberok and Slovácko after making his Czech First League debut.

Derby day means Benátky nad Jizerou, with Dobrovice supplying the other local grudge match.
