Loudoun United FC's women's side enters the USL W League this year with no history to lean on — just a freshly built roster and a place in the Mid-Atlantic Division, up against rivals it has never faced before.

The team grew out of a merger announced on 17 April 2025, when Loudoun United FC and Virginia Revolution Soccer Club combined their operations into one Northern Virginia organisation. The women's programme became the newest branch of that combined club, added to the USL W League for the 2026 season.

Home matches are split between two grounds. Most are played at Segra Field, the 5,000-seat stadium the club shares with its USL Championship men's team, though part of the schedule has shifted to the smaller RavenTek Park, a roughly 1,500-seat ground otherwise known as home to the reserve side, LUFC2. The team plays in black, red and white. Three fixtures against Northern Virginia FC anchor the schedule, with Eagle FC, Lancaster Inferno and Patuxent Football Athletics filling out the rest of the division.

The squad built for that first campaign mixes players raised nearby with others who arrived from well outside Virginia. Valentina Bitterwolf came through Hoffenheim's academy in Germany; Jordan Felton has represented the United States in futsal; Maya Penetrante has played for the Philippines at under-17 level; Addison Hess joined from the University of Florida after time in the US under-17 pool. Goalkeeper Riley Hurst needed no such journey — she grew up in nearby Haymarket and now pulls on the shirt of a club that plays a few miles from where she was raised.
