Orapa United

Orapa United have beaten Township Rollers twice in Mascom Top 8 Cup finals, in 2016 and 2020. The FA Challenge Cup followed in the 2018–19 season, a 3–0 final win.

The club did not grow out of a single town team. It was formed in 2012 when five local sides from Orapa and the surrounding Boteti area merged, a process driven by Johane Mchive, Tidimalo Tito and Kaisara Kaisara after committee talks that had been running since around 2010. Promotion followed almost at once: Orapa United won the First Division North in their first season, 2012–13, and reached the Botswana Premier League. Two seasons later they finished as league runners-up, in 2014–15, still their best placing in the top flight.

They carry the nickname "The Ostriches," and their shirts keep to orange and white, usually in pinstripes. The Itekeng Stadium in Orapa holds 5,000.

Continental football has come slowly. Orapa United went out in the preliminary rounds of the CAF Confederation Cup in 2017 and 2019 before reaching the group stage in 2025, the club's deepest run in African competition.
