«The Panthers»
Two Equatoguinean Cups sit in the cabinet at Malabo, won back to back in 2012 and 2013, and the Primera División title has eluded them throughout. They returned to a cup final in 2015 and lost to Deportivo Mongomo, then again in 2026, beaten by 15 de Agosto.
The club was founded in 2002 in Malabo, on Bioko island, and plays in black and white — a black shirt with white sleeves and collar at home, reversed for the away kit. The Estadio de Malabo, holding around 15,250, is shared with two other clubs from the same city, Sony Elá Nguema and Atlético Malabo, and matches against either are treated locally as derbies, part of the wider island rivalry Equatorial Guinea calls the Derby Insular, pitting Bioko's clubs against those from the mainland.
Beyond the domestic game, The Panthers have taken their turn in the CAF Confederation Cup.
