PAOK

PAOK have won the Greek women's championship every year from 2019 to 2026 bar one, seven titles in eight seasons, and added the double in both 2024 and 2026. The men's side has had to work harder for its silverware: three championships, in 2009, 2010 and 2015, the last of those completed with the cup as well, and the club has not managed the league title since.

The double-headed eagle on the crest, taken from the Byzantine standard, gives the club its second nickname, Dikefalos, alongside the more common Aspro-mavres for the black-and-white kit. The men's section dates to 1999, and it reached a European group stage in the EHF Champions League in 2009-10, still the furthest either PAOK side has gone on the continent.

Regular fixtures are played at Kleisto Mikras 3, known locally as the House of Handball, which seats 1,800; the bigger European and title-deciding nights move to the PAOK Sports Arena in Pylaia, with room for around 8,500. Derbies against AEK are billed as the meeting of the double-headed eagles, since both clubs carry the same Byzantine emblem.
