The Greek Men's Handball Cup is the premier knockout competition for men's handball in Greece, organized by the Hellenic Handball Federation (ΟΧΕ). Established in 1982 with the first final played in 1983, it serves as the secondary domestic trophy behind the A1 Ethniki league. The tournament structure has evolved over time, currently featuring a First Phase with eight teams that leads into a Round of 16, Quarterfinals, and a Final Four stage. This Final Four format, which involves single-leg semi-finals and a final, was introduced in the 2020–21 season but had previously been used between 1998 and 2011, and again from 2016 to 2018.
Participation extends beyond the top flight, allowing clubs from lower divisions such as the A2 Ethniki and B Ethniki to enter through preliminary qualifying rounds. The winner secures a place in European competition, specifically entering the EHF European Cup in the second round. Historically, Filippos Veria holds the record for most titles with six victories. Other prominent clubs include AEK and Ionikos Nea Filadelfeia, each with five titles, alongside ASE Douka, PAOK, and Olympiacos who have each won four times. In the most recent edition, Olympiacos claimed the championship after defeating AEK 33–29. Notable earlier results include AEK’s 43–21 victory over ESN Vrilissia in 2025 and PAOK’s narrow 21–20 win against Drama 1986 in 2024. While the A1 Ethniki operates as a round-robin league restricted to the top tier, the Cup remains distinct through its open knockout format.
