Pogoń Siedlce

Home games at Pogoń are played at the Stadion ROSRRiT, a fully covered ground on ul. Jana Pawła II 6 that holds 2,901 people — enough for a second-division club, not much more. In 2015 it was not enough at all: the stadium lacked floodlights, and Pogoń had to move First League fixtures to Pruszków until the lighting was sorted out, a gap the city's own sports authority had left unaddressed.

The club dates its history to 10 October 1944, when it was set up as Ognisko Siedlce. Earlier Siedlce sides such as WKS 22. pp and KS Strzelec had come and gone before the war — Strzelec was thrown out of its league in 1934 over money — but Pogoń does not count them as part of its own line. What followed for the new club was a string of names rather than one settled identity: ZZK Kolejarz once it was folded into the railway workers' sports federation in 1949, then Pogoń again in 1955 when that federation broke up, then Start-Pogoń after a 1957 merger with KS Start-Podlasie. The current name, MKP Pogoń Siedlce, has held since 2008.

On the pitch, the high point came in 2023/24: first place in the II liga, which sent the club back up to the I liga. In the Polish Cup, Pogoń have twice reached the quarter-finals, in 1987/88 and again in 2022/23. Cezary Demianiuk, a local forward, was among the side's main scorers through that recent I liga spell, while goalkeeper Rafał Misztal captained the team for seven years before moving into coaching goalkeepers at the club once he stopped playing.

Znicz Pruszków have become the fixture Pogoń fans mark on the calendar, the two having met repeatedly in II and I liga football in recent seasons. Pogoń now carry that I liga status into the new campaign, playing in white and blue at a ground built for a smaller stage than the one they currently occupy.
