Pozuelo de Calatrava enters the Liga Guerreras Iberdrola for the first time this season, having topped the División de Honor Oro Femenina in 2026.

The club was formed in 2009 in Pozuelo de Calatrava, in the province of Ciudad Real, and took the nickname Las Espartanas. That spirit shows most clearly in the academy: the club has produced two Campeonato de España Juvenil titles, in 2017 and 2022, along with a Cadete national title in 2015.

Home matches are played at the Pabellón Municipal "Las Espartanas", a ground that holds around 500 but is fitted with extra seating for the biggest occasions, such as the promotion play-offs.

What the club has not yet done is win a senior national title. The trophies so far belong to the youth categories; the Copa de la Reina and the top-flight championship remain untouched, and Pozuelo de Calatrava will now be measured against that gap for the first time.
