Rača

FK Rača sit in the third tier of Slovak football, the Bratislava group of the 3. liga, a level below where they played until relegation in 2023 from the 2. liga. Cup football still gives the Rača borough something to follow beyond the league table: the club reached the fourth round of the Slovnaft Cup in 2024/25, matching a run it had already managed in 2018/19.

The badge has changed more often than the ground. What is now FK Rača started out in 1925 as ŠK Račištorf, and the decades since rewrote the name with almost every political turn — Sokol under one regime, Lokomotíva under another, a spell as ŠK Rača before the current identity settled in 1997. The nickname "Loky" survives from the Lokomotíva years, a reminder that the borough grew up around the railway rather than a stray piece of branding.

Honours have come in short bursts at regional level rather than as a settled habit: the Division West title in 1983/84, the 4th league group A crown in 2000/01, and a Bratislava Regional League win in 2012/13. In the 1980s the club took in players sent down from Slovan Bratislava, a arrangement that briefly linked a suburban side to the capital's biggest name without ever turning into a pipeline the other way — no academy graduate from Rača has gone on to a higher-tier club or a national team.

Matches against FK Inter Bratislava get called a Bratislava derby locally, though the city keeps that label mostly for Petržalka against Inter, leaving Rača's version of the rivalry without the wider recognition to match.
