Sapientia U23

The club grew out of that effort, entering the Romanian Senior National Championship in 2018–2019 as CSHC Marton Aron Sândominic before the university rebranded it a season later as Sapientia U23, formalising its role as a feeder side for players still young enough to qualify for the under-23 bracket.

That 2019–2020 season was wiped out by the pandemic before it could properly start, so the team's real mark on the table came the year after: fourth place in 2020–2021, still its best finish. Since then the results have settled lower, sixth in 2021–2022 and eighth in each of the two most recent campaigns, and the Romanian Cup has brought nothing better than a group-stage exit, third in Group B in 2025–2026, short of the Final Four. No national title, no cup, and no fixed rival — the club shares a league with CSM Corona Brașov and ACSH Gheorgheni without either developing into a proper derby.

What the roster does produce is Romania's under-20 national team pool. Krisztián Váncsa, Ádám Mic, Tamás Ágoston and Csongor Baraboi have all passed through Sapientia U23 on their way to junior international selection, playing alongside veterans like Huba Silló, who give the development squad some senior ballast on a bench of teenagers. Home games are played in green and white at the Cârța rink, in front of a ground that holds 1,000.
