Spartak Police n/Metují

Three clubs went out to Police nad Metují without scoring in the 2024/25 Czech Cup — MFK Trutnov, FK Chlumec nad Cidlinou, FC Slavia Karlovy Vary — before the run carried the side to a third-round meeting with FK Mladá Boleslav, a First League club.

Reaching the fourth tier at all took the better part of two decades. A 6-0 win over Roudnice in the 2007/08 season first sent Police nad Metují up into the Královéhradecký Region championship, where the team played from 2008 to 2012 and again from 2019 to 2024.

Goalkeeper Karel Podhajský passed through the club before moving into first-team football at Hradec Králové and Jablonec.

Home matches are played at Hřiště Spartak Police nad Metují, which holds 1,500.

The club was founded in the autumn of 1920 as Sportovní klub Police nad Metují, with Dr. Vodrážka as its first chairman, and joined regular league competition two years later. Communist-era reorganisation between 1949 and 1953 changed its name more than once before Spartak stuck. The black and white go back to that founding year, when a local manufacturer named Pelli donated cloth in those colours for the team's first shirts and shorts.
