Bodens Energi Arena: Stadium in Boden

Bodens Energi Arena sits where the helicopter airport used to be. Red falu wood formed its frame when it opened in 2008, though the club had played at Björknäsvallen until then. The pitch carries an artificial surface, heated and floodlit, which keeps the ground usable through the northern winters. The venue changed its name in August 2021 after signing a deal with the local energy supplier.

The capacity shifts depending on what is being played. Football draws a seated crowd of 5,000, while handball and floorball fit 2,000 inside. When the arena hosts concerts, the space stretches to 15,000. Bodens BK is one of the main tenants alongside Boden Handboll IF and IBK Boden. Trangfors IF also plays there.

The ground sits near the old military garrison and a horse racing track down Travebaneleden. The attendance record for 6,459 fans was set at Björknäsvallen in 2005 before they moved. The women's match against FC Rosengård in September 2024 aimed to break records in Norrbotten, but the numbers never appeared in the reports.
