Before it was ever a stadium, this was Orana Park, a Campbelltown Council sports ground that got its rectangular pitch and its new name in the same stroke.
The record crowd tells its own story of the ground's two eras. Before the 2000 redevelopment, the highest attendance on record was 17,286, set back in 1991 when Western Suburbs played St George. The stadium is measured against that number.
These days the ground carries a split identity. Wests Tigers use it for part of their home fixture list.
