Campo de Fútbol Juan Guedes

The ground carries the name of Juan Guedes Rodríguez, a UD Las Palmas player who died of cancer while he was still playing.

The paperwork behind it runs further back than the pitch. A plenary agreement in January 1966 led the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria city council to acquire the land that December, and building work followed in 1970. The club that used it — then CD Porteño — had been playing on the site since the 1960s, so the formal inauguration in 1998 recorded something already long in use rather than opening anything new.

Today the field belongs to UD Tamaraceite, and UD Las Palmas Atlético and UD Las Palmas C have both had spells on it. The Copa del Rey tie against UD Almería on 19 December 2019 stands out in the record: 1,500 through the gates. No all-time attendance figure has ever been set down officially.

Rehabilitation work by the Instituto Municipal de Deportes has since gone into structures and equipment. It left the capacity where it was — the ground was tidied, not enlarged.
