Canaan Ground (Canaan and Bon Accord Recreational Ground)

Two villages share one ground, and the ground has always had to serve two sports rather than one. Canaan Ground sits on the boundary between Canaan and Bon Accord, and its natural grass has been laid out to take both football and cricket, an arrangement more typical of Tobago's smaller community grounds than of the island's larger venues.

1976 FC Phoenix plays its home matches here, though the ground itself was built for the wider parish rather than for any one club, and the football side is the newer tenant of the two.

The year that reshaped the place was 2018. The Tobago House of Assembly reopened it then as a rebuilt multipurpose facility, and the work went into function rather than appearance: drainage put in to keep the surface playable through Tobago's wet months, fencing raised around the perimeter, and sanitary facilities brought up to a standard the old ground had lacked. Nothing in the record points to the outfield itself being relaid — the upgrade ran to what surrounded it, not the turf underneath.
