Work began on 2 February 2018 on an empty site, and by September 2019 the money — 14 million euros — had produced not a single pitch but a main field with four more beside it, indoor halls and medical rooms. It opened on 8 September 2019; the first match followed a week later, on 15 September.
What arrived with it was Atlético Madrid 's women's side, who play their Liga F football here. The academy sides, boys and girls, train on the surrounding fields, which is why the complex was drawn up the way it was.
In the summer of 2025 the reserve team, Atlético Madrileño , moved across from Cerro del Espino and joined them.
The main field is artificial grass. Capacity is 2,685.
No significant rebuilding or expansion has been carried out since it opened.
