Şenol Güneş Spor Kompleksi (Papara Park Stadyumu)
Trabzon, Turkey
Formerly: Medical Park Arena, Medical Park Stadyumu
Trabzon named this ground after one of its own. The stadium in the Akyazı district carries his name rather than a description of what it is or where it stands.
The build itself was a state project rather than a club one: TOKİ, Turkey's housing development administration, commissioned it, with the Sarıdağlar & STY & Yertaş joint venture as contractor and the German firm ASP Stuttgart working alongside Azaksu Mimarlık on the design. Work began in November 2013, and the ground opened in December 2016, with the first competitive match following in January 2017.
Capacity has shifted more than once since opening — organisers have listed figures ranging from just under 40,800 up to just over 41,100 as sections were reconfigured — and it now sits at 40,980. The naming rights have moved too: Medical Park held the sponsorship in the stadium's first years, and Papara has carried it since 2022, giving the ground its current commercial tag alongside the permanent Şenol Güneş name.
European nights have brought Napoli, Liverpool and Rapid Vienna to Trabzon, and the record crowd came not from a first-team fixture but from a UEFA Youth League tie against Internazionale in April 2025, when 40,368 turned out.
