Estadio Arturo "Jiya" Miranda

Estadio Arturo "Jiya" Miranda stands on the west side of Santiago del Estero, at the corner of avenida Rivadavia and avenida Leopoldo Lugones, and it belongs, name and address alike, to Club Atlético Güemes — there is no ground-share here, no second tenant with a claim on the pitch.

The ground dates to 1932, the same year the club itself was founded, so stadium and institution have grown up as one rather than one being built to house the other. Records do not preserve the exact month the gates first opened, only the year, which fits a place whose early history was kept in memory more than in paperwork.

The pitch is natural grass, without undersoil heating, and the capacity sits at 12,000 — enough to hold a provincial derby at full voice but not built for anything grander, which has kept the ground close to the game rather than removed from it.
