The ground in Altos de Piedra spent years hosting regional youth and amateur tournaments, and the running track that still rings the pitch belongs to that earlier life. It took a promotion to change what was asked of it. When Salcedo FC came up into the Liga Dominicana de Fútbol, the club's home had to be brought to professional standard, and a renovation costing more than three million pesos was carried out in 2025 to get it there.

What followed came faster than the rebuild. In their debut professional season, Salcedo reached the LDF final, and on 17 May 2026 the first leg of the Gran Final was played here in front of a full house — Salcedo beat Cibao FC 2–0. The route there ran through the same pitch: a 1–0 play-off win over Moca FC on 22 March 2026, and before that the group matches of the 2025 Copa de la LDF.

Weather has interrupted it at least once: a match here was suspended at half-time when a lightning storm moved over the town. The complex is known locally as the Complejo Deportivo Salcedo, and the pitch is natural grass.
