Estadio Feliciano Gambarte

The name changed once, and it changed for a person rather than a sponsor. Godoy Cruz opened the ground as the Estadio Nuevo on 3 October 1959, after seven years of building on land the municipality had handed over in 1953. It kept that plain working name for twenty-seven years, until 3 October 1986, when the club renamed it Estadio Feliciano Gambarte for the man himself — a former player, director and president of Club Deportivo Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba, honoured on the anniversary of the stadium's own opening.

It sits on Calle Lencinas in the city of Godoy Cruz, in Mendoza province, and has stayed the club's only home since that 1959 opening — no ground-share, no wandering to a neighbouring venue while work was carried out. The pitch has stayed natural grass throughout. The most recent chapter came in 2021, when the club reopened the Gambarte after a reconstruction, with a ceremony on 5 July marking the return to a rebuilt stadium rather than a temporary patch-up.
