It has never been renamed.
Two thousand seats is a modest figure, and the ground has spent most of its calendar hosting regional football. That changed on 18 August 2024 , when the televised exhibition match Clásico de la Lupa brought Olimpia and Cerro Porteño sides to Paraguarí for a broadcast on Telefuturo.
Football is not the only thing it has held. In August 2017 the national athletics championship Campeonato de la Familia Atlética was staged here, drawing around 400 competitors.
The current tenancy is recent. Paraguarí Atlético Club was founded on 1 July 2025 and took over as the ground's principal tenant from 2026.
