Estadio Olímpico de la Universidad Central de Venezuela

Carlos Raúl Villanueva drew the ground as one piece of the Ciudad Universitaria de Caracas, and it still reads that way. Locals call it El Coloso de Los Chaguaramos, or simply El Olímpico — the university has never sold the name to a sponsor, and the ground carries the same title it was given at its opening during the III Bolivarian Games.

What it has instead is a long list of things that happened here first or once. From 1952 to 1963 it staged the Pequeña Copa del Mundo de Clubes. It was a venue for the 1983 Pan American Games. On 28 October 1975 the Copa América final went to a third match on this pitch, and Peru beat Colombia 1–0 to take the title.

The rebuild for the Copa América 2007 changed the shape of the place: seats went into the popular stands, and the turf was relaid. Since then it has held the Copa Venezuela final of 2008–09, won by Caracas FC, and served as the regular home of the Vinotinto for World Cup qualifiers and friendlies against Argentina and Brazil. Caracas FC, Deportivo La Guaira, Metropolitanos and UCV FC all use it. Servando y Florentino, Sentimiento Muerto and Daiquirí have played concerts on the same grass.
