The Hala Sportowo-Widowiskowa im. Edwarda Kazimierskiego MOSiR arrived in Mielec in 2018, replacing the facility known as the Hangar Arena. The new hall offers a capacity of 3,056 seats. The playing surface is a sports floor, and the venue sits on ul. Solskiego 1 within the local sports and recreation centre.
The building carries the name of Edward Kazimierski, a former vice-president of the local football club Stal Mielec, a title bestowed in October 2023. The hall now hosts the handball team playing in the Polish Superliga and the women’s volleyball side competing in the Tauron Liga.
The previous structure, the Hangar, was a place where the city’s sports community had gathered for decades before it was demolished in 2017. The address remains the same, and the official site lists the hall under the MOSiR umbrella. The city of Mielec sits in the south-east of Poland.
