Ishøj Idrætscenter
Ishøj, Denmark
Formerly: Ishøj Stadion
Ishøj IF, the club that plays at Ishøj Idrætscenter, is younger than the ground it uses. It was formed in 2017 out of two older clubs in the same town — SB 50 Ishøj, founded in 1950, and Ishøj Boldklub, founded in 1973.
The name on the building is the older habit: the venue is still called Ishøj Stadion in plenty of places, and the two names point at the same site on Vejledalen. Footballers are not the only tenants. Ishøj Volley & Beachvolleyklub, Ishøj Gymnastikforening and local basketball sides all work out of the centre.
The artificial surface was relaid in 2018, and a depot building was added in 2020. That same year brought the fixture the ground is best remembered for outside the district: on 1 September 2020, Ishøj met AB in the DBU Pokalen and lost 1–2 after extra time — ninety minutes were not enough to separate them, and the visitors found a way through only once the tie had gone long.
Between all that, the pitch and the halls take on work that has nothing to do with sport. In 2019 the centre hosted a concert billed as "Elvis On My Mind", an evening that put a music crowd where the volleyball and the football usually go.
