Kauppi Football Stadium

The pitch came first, the stands years later. Kauppi Sports Park had an artificial turf football ground from 2020, laid over what had been a baseball diamond, and for years matches there were played without a proper stand to speak of. Jatke Pirkanmaa Oy broke ground on a main stand in August 2024, working to a design by Arkkitehdit Kontukoski Oy and commissioned by the city of Tampere. The build closed out in May 2025, turning a bare pitch into a proper home ground.

That home is shared. Tampere United and Tampereen Pallo-Veikot both play their football at Kauppi.

Football has been played on this patch of Kauppi Sports Park since 2006, long before the current pitch or stand existed, though nothing from that earlier era carried over into the stadium's name or identity.
