Lewis Lloyd Ground
Narberth, United Kingdom
The Lewis Lloyd Ground is in the Pembrokeshire town of Narberth. The ground was officially opened in 1948. It is named after Miss Lewis Lloyd, a staunch follower of the local Otter Hounds, which is the origin of the Narberth Rugby Football Club's nickname, 'The Otters', and its emblem.
While primarily a rugby union home, it also serves as the home ground for Narberth Cricket Club. The venue is situated at Spring Gardens, where a 500-seat grandstand stands as the main spectator feature. This structure was provided by local architect Ken Morgan and the Narberth & Whitland Rotary. The rotary club is also responsible for the annual 'Narberth Outdoor Rock' music festival, which has attracted crowds of over 1,000 to 1,500 attendees to the site.
The ground has hosted international rugby, including a match between West Wales and Japan in 1993, though such events are rare. The playing surface is natural grass, typical for Welsh rugby grounds at this level.
