The stadium opened on 29 September 2023 , closing out a build that had run since 2020, and it stepped straight into the role of one of the largest football venues in the country, holding 60,000 . The natural turf pitch sits inside that adjustable bowl.
Access was planned alongside the structure rather than added after: Longxing metro station, on line 4, sits just 330 metres from the gates. That dual use — football fixtures and large-scale concerts under the same roof — shapes who the venue answers to day to day.
