Main Field
Llangennech, United Kingdom
The ground on Pontarddulais Road does not announce itself. It is Llangennech Recreation Ground , a patch of natural grass that belongs to the village rather than a single club. The rugby club took the land in 1958, and the floodlights came later, in 1984.
There is nothing spectacular about the layout. The capacity sits at around 1,000.
Visitors might look for a larger fixture. Swansea City’s reserve team played matches in the area during the 2011/2012 season, though the exact venue for those games is sometimes placed at Parc y Scarlets in Llanelli. The distinction is minor, as both grounds serve the wider region, but the Llangennech pitch remains the quieter option.
The ground is not a destination. It simply exists, shared between those who live nearby. The three teams rotate, the grass recovers, and the floodlights switch on when the sun goes down.
