What changed the place was the 2014–2016 rebuild. STAMONT tore down the old concrete banking that had once held close to eight thousand and closed the bowl on all four sides, fitting it out with a new main stand, offices, a wellness area and floodlights that came on for the first time against Teplice in October 2016. Karviná reached the top flight for the 2016/17 season with a ground finally built for it.

The Czech national side used it for a friendly against San Marino in November 2025, Tomáš Souček's goal before the break enough to settle it in front of fewer than four thousand.
