Ängelholms IP has carried one name since it opened, on 9 September 1925.
The ground belongs to the municipality rather than to Ängelholms FF. The one substantial intervention came in 2005, when a concrete main stand for 700 spectators was built. Nothing on that scale has been touched since.
That gap between what the ground offers and what the Swedish football association now expects showed up in 2014, when Ängelholms FF had to shift home fixtures to Olympia in Helsingborg because Änglavallen no longer met licensing requirements — the pitch and stand stayed as they were; only the fixtures moved elsewhere for a spell. The same season produced the ground's best-documented attendance figure: 1,202 for a visit from Hammarby IF.
