Nogometni park Brinje Grosuplje

Grosuplje, Slovenia

Formerly: Športni park Brinje, Brinje Stadium

The pitch at Ob Grosupeljščici was cut out of waste ground — on the edge of Grosuplje — and the work that made it a playable field was finished in 1968, carried by the local community and the sports society TVD Partizan Grosuplje.

NK Grosuplje was wound up in 2003, and the ground passed to NK Brinje Grosuplje, which has played there since. What changed the place was promotion: to meet the requirements of the 1. SNL, the club closed the ground in the summer of 2024 and reopened it on 17 September 2025 after work costing 4.8 million euros. The main pitch was relaid with a new grass mix over fresh drainage and irrigation, floodlights went up, a stand of 492 seats with a VIP box was built along one side, and the training pitches behind it — one grass, two artificial — were resurfaced in the same programme. Part of the money came through the football federation under the UEFA Hattrick schemes, part from the sports ministry. The old name, Športni park Brinje, went with the old ground; since the reopening it has been Nogometni park Brinje Grosuplje.

It remains small: 800 in total, 500 of them seated, the rest standing behind the goal. That figure was comfortably beaten on 4 March 2026, when 1,200 packed in for the Slovenian Cup tie against Olimpija Ljubljana.
