Sodalsskolen
Brabrand, Denmark
Formerly: Gellerupskolen
The ground at Louisevej 29 sits in the quiet of Brabrand, a district of Aarhus where the only noise comes from boots on grass. It is not a monument to football but a school pitch that Vatanspor has called home since 2019, after years of being displaced. The facility opened in 1962 as Gellerupskolen, before the name changed to Sødalskolen—a shift the sports databases have yet to fully catch up with, still listing it as Sodalsskolen.
Capacity is a relative term here. The record books suggest 1,500, though the reality is closer to 1,000 on a good day. The most spectators witnessed were roughly 800 when Vatanspor beat AaB 2-1 in the Danish Cup on August 25, 2026. A previous cup fixture against AGF in 2022 had to move to Ceres Park because the locals wanted to see more than the pitch could comfortably offer.
The surface is natural grass, unpretentious and worn by years of use. It is not where legends are made, but it is where the team plays.
