The clue is in the name: Sport- und Kulturzentrum Altes Moor is not only a football ground.

The football side of it spreads across more than one pitch. The main field, known locally as the D-Platz, is natural grass; a second pitch, the C-Platz, sits beside it. The land belongs to the municipality, and Gemeinde Jesteburg funds the infrastructure.

Its best-known afternoon came on 21 August 2022, when VfL Jesteburg hosted SV Henstedt-Ulzburg in the first round of the DFB-Pokal Frauen. Three hundred people came through the turnstiles. The hosts kept knocking on the door and forced extra time at 3-3, but the visitors took it 4-3, with Lara Wolf refereeing.

Beyond that cup tie, the archive is thin. No attendance record is on file, and no founding architect or contractor is named anywhere in the accessible material.
