Sportanlage Juchhof 1

Juchhof sits out on the western edge of Zurich, on Vulkanstrasse. That is the first thing to understand about it: **Platz 4**, the Hauptplatz, is the only surface here laid to grass. Platz 1 and Platz 3 are artificial.

The complex was built in two stages, in 1965 and again in 1974. A full reconstruction ran through 2005 and 2006, after which the pitches took their present form.

What exists about Juchhof is published by the city, because the city runs it, and the tenants come to it rather than own it.

Two of them share the site: SC YF Juventus Zürich and FC Kosova Zürich. Both play in front of a capacity of 600, which puts every touchline conversation within earshot of whoever is standing there. At this level cup football has its own rules, and a visiting side arriving at Vulkanstrasse gets no stand to hide behind, no distance between the bench and the crowd.
