The long, low canopy at the Józef Piłsudski Municipal Stadium in Nowy Targ is held up by green steel columns and stretches out over the main entrance, casting a flat shadow across the paved forecourt. A wide banner runs across the turnstiles beneath the glass-fronted concourse, advertising a coal supplier in Polish, while the gates themselves are painted bright blue and marked with sector labels like SEKTOR B and DZIECI (Children). Yellow crowd barriers sit in neat lines on the ground outside, waiting for the turn of a matchday.

Podhale Nowy Targ have played their home fixtures here for decades, though the ground itself is not old in the way that European stadiums often are. The current structure dates to a major rebuild completed in the early 2010s, funded under the Małopolska Regional Operational Programme, which replaced what had been a more modest municipal facility. That earlier version was old enough to have hosted a Poland A versus Poland B international friendly in August 1947, a fact that sits oddly against the contemporary look of the stand today. After the renovation, the club stayed in place, moving up and down the Polish league pyramid while the stadium remained a quiet fixture on the edge of the town.

The pitch is covered in artificial turf laid down in 2024, a FIFA Quality PRO surface replacing the previous layer at a cost of around 2.5 million zloty. The playing area measures 105 by 65 metres and is lit for evening games, but the crowd is small — the official capacity is 900, with only 802 seats. Podhale have used the ground to host cup ties against teams from the top flight, including Ruch Chorzów and Pogoń Szczecin, as well as to win regional competitions like the Małopolski ZPN Cup in 2016, 2020 and 2024. A local charity match between Wisła Kraków and Tatra Prešov drew a larger crowd in 2010, but the day was marked by an accident when a photographer climbed an asbestos roof to get a better view and the shelter collapsed above her.
