Stadionul Ceahlăul

The stadium in Piatra Neamț is immediately defined by its colour scheme. An orange and blue palette runs through every structure, from the ticket office, marked Casa de Bilete, to the main facade. The buildings carry banners for Cotnari, a regional wine, which sit alongside the club crest on a bear. The main stand presents a distinctive silhouette with a series of high, scalloped arches along its roofline. Underneath, the stands are filled with orange seating.

The ground itself is surrounded by a running track, a perimeter that separates the pitch from the immediate spectator area. A red fence runs along the track, and a small, red-and-white parasol is visible near the sideline. A single tall floodlight tower rises from the corner, casting a bright cone of light onto the green surface during night matches.

While the stadium has undergone significant modernization, including an expansion in the early 1990s and a complete overhaul between 2006 and 2012, these changes are not immediately visible from the exterior. The current capacity of 18,000 is a figure derived from official records rather than something one can estimate from the stands. The venue has hosted the Romanian national team and European qualifiers for FC Vaslui, but the text of those matches is not etched into the concrete. The most tangible history is the club’s foundation date, 1919, which appears on the old ticket booth.
