Stadionul Gheorghe Rășcanu sits in the Ronaț district of Timișoara and serves as the home for SCM Rugby Timișoara, a club that turned to the new ground when they sought to win the Romanian First Division title. The board of the rugby club built the facility at a cost of €300,000 to support that specific objective, which they achieved in the 2012–2013 season. It is not a grand arena; the capacity holds just 1,000 spectators on a natural grass surface. The pitch sits on Strada Theodor Aman, nr. 11, and the ground opened in 2011. While the main stadium is the focus, the wider complex includes minifootball pitches, tennis, and basketball courts. Renovations have been modest and targeted. In 2018, the club spent approximately €7,000 on equipment and locker room repairs, followed by a surface renewal in 2021. The ground carries the name of Gheorghe Rășcanu, a legend of the club during its 'golden era'. It has no former names, as it was built new rather than repurposed. The structure is functional.

The facility reflects the ambitions of the Timișoara Saracens board, who built the ground to support their objective of winning the Romanian First Division title. The club achieved that goal in the 2012–2013 season, shortly after the ground opened in 2011. The stadium has a capacity of 1,000 spectators and features a natural grass surface.
