For decades the site operated with a basic infrastructure, likely a mix of standing and seated areas. The current configuration arrived after a renovation project between 2020 and 2022, funded by the local administration. A new grandstand was erected, floodlights were installed for night matches, and an irrigation system was added for the natural grass pitch.

Strada Dacia 5 sits in Cernavodă, Constanța County. The stadium serves as the home of Axiopolis Cernavodă, which plays in Liga III. The official capacity was set at 721 following the 2022 work: 700 for general spectators, 14 protocol seats, and seven disabled seats. A documented attendance of 800 was recorded for a Cupa României Play-off match against CS Minaur Baia Mare in September 2022. The match ended in a 4–5 defeat for the hosts after extra time.

The stadium has hosted regional finals, including a fixture against Hamangia Baia in the 2023/2024 season. It has not hosted major national finals or high-profile non-sporting events. A fire in November 2025 broke out in the changing rooms and sauna area, covering about 25 square meters. An electrical short circuit caused the blaze. Three fire trucks were dispatched from the Constanța County Emergency Inspectorate, and no injuries were reported. The venue carries no other name.
